Travel by coach to Mandurah, a popular holiday town on the shores of the Indian Ocean and the vast Peel Inlet. Board your ferry boat for a leisurely cruise of Western Australia's largest natural waterways, home to many species of migratory water birds, bottle-nosed dolphins as well as luxury waterside residences.
Dine at a delightful restaurant on the banks of the Murray River before
continuing by coach via historic Pinjarra to the little timber town of Dwellingup.
Board a vintage train (diesel or steam-driven) and enjoy a relaxing ride through the jarrah forest as the track wind its way up the Darling Escarpment to Etmilyn, once a watering point for timber-hauling steam locomotives. Here there is an opportunity to take a short loop trail walk (1km) through the Etmilyn Forest The walk features excellent examples of Jarrah, Blackbutt, Red Gum, Blackboy, Banksia and a variety of palms and ferns unique to the area. Alternatively you may prefer to watch the train crew as they prepare the train for the journey back to Dwellingup. Return to Perth by coach.
